Dizziness, vertigo, and balance issues — PT can help. Here's how.

Most patients are surprised when we tell them physical therapy treats dizziness.

Many people assume dizziness, vertigo, or feeling off-balance is something they simply have to live with—or that medication is the only option. In reality, many of these symptoms can be treated effectively with vestibular physical therapy.

Vestibular physical therapy is a specialized form of rehab that focuses on the systems responsible for your balance, coordination, and sense of movement. After a thorough evaluation, we'll identify what's causing your symptoms and create a treatment plan designed to help your brain and body work together more efficiently.

Who can benefit?

Vestibular PT may help if you experience:

  • Vertigo (the sensation that the room is spinning)
  • Dizziness or lightheadedness with movement
  • Balance problems or frequent unsteadiness
  • Motion sensitivity
  • Symptoms after a concussion or head injury

What happens during your first visit?

Your first session is all about understanding what's causing your symptoms. We'll discuss your health history, assess your balance, eye movements, and coordination, and perform specific tests to pinpoint the source of your dizziness. From there, we'll build a personalized treatment plan and often begin treatment that same day.

Three signs it's time to see a vestibular PT

  • You feel dizzy when turning your head, rolling over in bed, or changing positions.
  • You've noticed your balance isn't what it used to be or you're worried about falling.
  • Your symptoms have been lingering, returning repeatedly, or keeping you from work, exercise, travel, or everyday activities.

The good news? Many vestibular conditions respond very well to targeted physical therapy, and for some diagnoses, people notice improvement within just a few visits.

If dizziness or balance issues are limiting your life, we're here to help. Schedule a vestibular consultation with our team and let's get you feeling steady again.

5 Star Reviews

....don't take it from us, here's something a recent client in Arlington had to say:

"I came for a frozen shoulder and never left. I can't say enough about how much I trust Jesse and the whole team. This is my first stop (often before the doctor) if something is not right. I've brought my husband and son in too. We have always felt cared for and seen."
